Introducing John & Lyn Hobbs

John has been a member of Maroochy Baptist Church for 20 years. He has been a ministry leader in different areas of service. John now believes that The Lord has lead him into mission work.

John has been endorsed by Maroochy Baptist Church as a part-time missionary to the Solomon Islands in conjunction with South Sea Evangelical Church as ‘Friends of SSEC’ Building and Maintenance Coordinator. The task involves, researching projects requested by SSEC head office, seeking to mobilize Work Party Teams from local churches and individuals within Australia and New Zealand.

John is looking for workers with a heart to serve their God in a practical way in this Kingdom Building Business to participate in short-term work party teams.  

Work Party teams are encouraged to work with National workers in helping to train, hone and further their skills.

A Christian cross-cultural experience can be enriching as you broaden your cultural and spiritual awareness of the diversity of God’s family. You will be blessed as you bring a blessing.

To become involved, first identify the type of  project that you or your church lead to explore. Then contact John info@friendsofssec.org who will suggest the project that best suits your situation.

Volunteering for Work Party Projects involves providing the necessary funds to cover personal requirements e.g. travel, food, accommodation etc. plus funds towards the cost of the project. John can assist you with a budget and details for the project, and fundraising ideas.

Let God release your giftedness and skills as your family and friends band together with you in creative ways to trust God in helping you provide the necessary finance.

Great Joy is the outcome of seeing God provide as His people step out in FAITH.

If  you are unable to go on a project, be assured that you can still be part of the excitement by praying for a project, a team, or even a specific team member. Donations to a project is another way of being committed.
